Use the Garage
Parking is a major problem in every major city in the United States. Because of this, many cities choose to build garages to accommodate more cars. It is not always possible to park in a garage, but if there is, it is worth taking advantage of it. If not, park in the shade. However, be careful when parking under trees. Tree sap, insects and bird droppings are harmful to paint. Instead, try artificial shade such as buildings.
Cover the Steering Wheel
The steering wheel is located directly under the windshield. This layer of glass is not enough to protect the steering wheel from the sun’s rays. It doesn’t take long for the bike to overheat. Steering wheel covers are a great way to improve grip while keeping the wheel cool. Alternatively, you can throw a towel or an old shirt over it and remove it before you travel. Plastic and vinyl handlebars can get very hot, so this is a good way to avoid burning your hands.
